A project funded by the Agence Fran\u00e7aise de D\u00e9veloppement (AFD)<\/strong> through the Ren\u00e9 Mouawad Foundation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project aims to support the most vulnerable adolescent Lebanese girls in El-Khoder village by addressing educational gaps, psychosocial distress, and limited economic opportunities resulting from compounded crises and entrenched gender inequality. It seeks to improve girls\u2019 access to and retention in education through targeted academic support, while strengthening their psychological and physical wellbeing and protection through structured psychosocial, health, and rights-based services. The project also focuses on economic empowerment and self-reliance by equipping girls with practical, market-relevant skills, and by using theater as a tool for entertainment, awareness-raising, and confidence-building, enabling girls to express themselves, strengthen communication and teamwork skills, and convey meaningful messages about rights and social issues. Overall, the project adopts an integrated approach that empowers adolescent girls to remain in school, build resilience, claim their rights, and participate positively and safely in their communities beyond the project\u2019s duration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emotional Venting Activity for Girls and Their Mothers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the project activities, emotional expression sessions were organized for mothers and their daughters, with the aim of strengthening emotional communication and mutual understanding within the family. These sessions provided a safe and supportive space where each mother and daughter could openly express their feelings, daily challenges, and aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity contributed to reinforcing family bonds, enhancing girls\u2019 self-confidence, and encouraging open dialogue around psychological and social issues. By promoting emotional awareness and healthy communication, the sessions supported mental well-being and helped foster a more balanced and nurturing family environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
